About Shawn

Shawn works in the Public Relations office at Northwest Vista College as a Senior Multimedia Specialist and is currently Team Leader of the Web Team. Shawn has acted as Web Master of NVC since 2002 and has been part of the growing Public Relations team at the college. Before coming to San Antonio Shawn lived in Dallas where he worked in advertising design and 4-color printing. Shawn has also done technical illustration for patent attorneys and inventors for many years.

Shawn is a Communication major who enjoys international, intergenerational, and cross-cultural applications of his field. Visual literacy (the use of social and cultural symbols and colors) as used in international media is also an interest of his. Shawn's hobbies include photography and 3D-modeling. Shawn also enjoys foreign film -- especially those from "Bollywood" and Spanish genres. Shawn also loves music -- especially the world sounds of Thievery Corporation and Bristol bands such as Massive Attack.
